As CUBE Video Editor, you will assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the Video Producer vision and client brief.
Ultimately, as a Film and Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Consult with the production team from production to post-production process
Create the final cut for broadcasting
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
Key Requirements for the role
Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field
2 to 4 years previous work experience as a video editor.
Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe Suite such as Premiere, After Effects, Audition and Davinci Resolve
Creative and artistic skills.
Motion graphics skills
Portfolio of completed film productions
Ability to work be efficient and work to a tight schedule
Ability to translate ideas into complete projects
Ability to work within a dynamic team
